Things to Do in Panglao, Bohol

There are a lot of activities you can do when you are in Panglao, Bohol. You can choose for water adventures to historical tours to nature tripping. Here are the list of activities which you can plan to do when visiting Panglao, Bohol.

1. Diving around Bohol


Some of the finest diving spots in the Philippines are found in Bohol. Panglao, Pamilacan, Balicasag and Cabilao are islands in Bohol which have these beautiful diving spots. In Panglao Island, there is Alona Beach Sanctuary, Kalipayan diving site, Bohol Beach Club, Doljo Beach diving site, and Napaling diving site. South west of Panglao Island, Balicasag Island has Black Forest which is known forblack coral bushes, Balicasag Marine Sanctuary and Divers Heaven where turtles, sharks and fusiliers can be seen. Aside from Balicasag and Panglao Island, there is also Cabilao Island that lies in the Cebu Strait. In this island, you can see hammerheads and white-tipped reefsharks, barracudas, jackfish, ghostpipe fish, dragon fishes, crabs, fusiliers, parrot fishes, damsel fishes, soft corals, and sponges in Lighthouse, Cambaquiz Point and South Point. Furthermore, the Pamilacan Island located in southeast of Panglao Island is famous for whaleshark and dolphin watching activities. You can also see black-white banded sea snakes, moray eels, nudibranchs and bukcet sponges in this island.

2. Experience the white beach of Panglao, Bohol

The island of Panglao is gifted with white sand beaches. Th
e sand here is very fine like Boracay. But unlike Boracay, Panglao beaches are not packed with many people. Here are the places where you can enjoy the white beach of Panglao:

3. Snorkeling and Island Hopping

Balicasag Island is famous for snorkeling. From Panglao, it is just less than an hour going to Balicasag. You will have to rent a boat to go here. For the snorkeling devices (if you don't have), you can rent a set of snorkeling devices with life jacket so you can e
njoy the underwater world.


Near Panglao Island are two smaller islands: Balicasag and Pamilacan. These
islands also have white sand beach.


Hinagdanan Cave is just one of the approximately 1,400 caves that have been identified in the province of Bohol. This cave is just located in the town of Dauis in Panglao Island. Hinagdanan Cave is named as such because a "hagdan" or a ladder is used for the visitors to go in and out of the cave. Inside the cave, there is a pool where you can swim.

HOW TO GO HERE? You can take a tricycle from Tagbilaran City or get a metered taxi. From Tagbilaran, it will only take you about 10mins to get there.
